What will you choose?

It’s seven weeks till New Year's Day.

Six weeks until Christmas.

Two till Thanksgiving.

What will you choose?

Today is the OPTIMAL time to start a program to get leaner, stronger, and more focused.

Sure, you can wait until January and justify that because it’s a busy season and bound to be hectic.

But I’ll contend that’s precisely why you should start now, BECAUSE you can expect chaos to reign and Resistance to come for you over the next 6-7 weeks.

Let’s say you procrastinate again —kick this can down the road, like you’ve been doing all year. That’ll just dig you seven weeks deeper into the rut you’ve dug for yourself all year. And you’ll probably put on another 5+ pounds from holiday indulgences before you finally overcome your procrastination and start even looking for a solution sometime in mid-January.

You think you’ll be less busy then, have “cleared the decks,” and the timing will be better. That’s another fallacy you’ve bought into to justify your inaction and procrastination.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will be no less busy in mid-January than you are today. Something will inevitably come up that blows your best-laid plans to bits. It ALWAYS does.

Starting now gives you a jumpstart on everyone else who will wait until January, join some overcrowded gym, go two or three times, and then get busy and stop going, but will pay hundreds of dollars for a recurring membership they don’t use.

Starting now sets you up with a pattern of behavior and a new mindset that will help you navigate the holidays with a plan, renewed self-discipline, and accountability support, taking you into January not mired in a depressing rut, but with momentum behind you.

Life is all about choices. What’s yours?

Inaction, procrastination, stagnation, and more self-loathing? OR…

Action, progress, momentum, confidence, and ENERGY?
