Nomads again!

Our Month at MidStrong was awesome! We had so much hanging out with MidStrongers and friends!

As much as I love remotely coaching OGs all over the country, there’s nothing better than a Weightlifting Wednesday at MidStrong, encouraging and coaching those good people to LFT HVY SHT!

Every one of them has a list of physical challenges and limitations that could be a reasonable justification for being lazy and not doing the work. Every one of them is BUSY and has a long list of obligations and burdens they’re carrying. But, they continue to show up, do work, and invest in the better version of themselves they know is possible.

They inspire me.

So, we’re nomads again! We frequently get asked, “Where ya’ll from?” Jules hates my usual reply, “Well, we’re homeless.”

Right now, we’re exploring the Black Hills of SD. Amazing!! We’re on our way to WA to spend much of August in Julie’s native state. We skipped across the Heartland in three days. Crossed eight state lines with stops in NY (at Gilbert Lake State Park, a real gem), IN (at a Love’s truckstop), and the southwest corner of MN (at a cool old-school bowling alley and burger joint).

We’ve been soaking up all the Sunshine State’s vitamin D and piney scent that we can breathe in. It’s lovely here.

From here, we’ll roll into Montana for a few days and then on to Eastern Washington.

And I’m happy to report that my trailer backing-up skills have improved modestly!

We’re off to great places, we’re off and away… but leaving grateful for the time we got to spend with our MidStrongers and eastern friends and fam!
