Possibly the SIMPLEST exercise in our arsenal!

Potty Squats

(I didn’t come up with that name! )

Physical Therapists like to call these Sit-to-Stand.

Simple, safe, VERY effective.

And you can do these anywhere there’s a chair or bench.

It’s one of the simplest exercises we utilize and prescribe.

Start with feet slightly wider than shoulder width

Toes are slightly angled out

Weight evenly dispersed across your entire foot

Brace your core

Sit back on a bench or chair

Come to a full stop so that you have to generate more energy to stand back up

Stand up tall, full hip extension, shoulders back, chin level

Do it again

If you’re just getting started, do 3 sets of 10.

If you’re more advanced, you can add weight, such as a DB or rucksack.

The programs that we build for our members always include simple, safe, and effective exercises. We prefer to use exercises that offer the biggest payoff with the least associated risk.

Do you need help getting into a groove and building useful functional strength? We can help. And we do so much more than just that.
